My Roommate's Cat Keeps Trying to Have Sex With Me

I kept a blog in high school and wrote a lot of funny little stories. Then I smoked a lot of pot. Now I can't write funny little stories anymore. But I can illustrate them alright.

The Herpes comic was done in about two hours. The Cat comic took, like, thirteen. However, I think Herpes is more successful in terms of the art. Looser can be better, I guess. I like the just-barely-wonky perspectives in some of the above panels.

But nothing beats cats in drag.



^This is a comic about what happens when you don't neuter your cat. Eventually a lonely old woman accepts the feline advances that mark so far outside the social norm. What she doesn't know is that he will eventually pee on her clothes. Not very romantic.

Old Work

These are some acrylic paintings from painting one at MCA. All are from direct observation. The daytime landscape, which has been sold, is probably the most representational. The night time landscape was gessoed a violet and I tried to exaggerated the yellows to push the contrast. The still life was originally painted in black and white acrylic and then covered in color oil glazes. 

Facing the Facebook Facts

It's not that I'm actually fearful of someone stealing my images off of facebook, but the words "public domain" probably don't sit will in the ears of any living image-maker. Maybe I'll consider communal authorship after I've gotten rent paid.

And, let's face it: giving a prospective client your facebook address to see your work is a bit sketchy.
